Scholarship Coverage
The Tianjin Government Scholarship offers the following benefits:
Full Scholarship:
- Exemption from registration fee, tuition, on-campus accommodation, laboratory fees, internship fees, and basic learning materials fees.
- Comprehensive insurance in China: CNY 800/student/year.
- Living allowance (10 months):
- Bachelor’s degree: CNY 1400/month
- Master’s degree: CNY 1700/month
- Doctoral degree: CNY 2000/month.
- One-time settlement for new students: CNY 800/student.
Partially Scholarship:
- Undergraduate: CNY 20000 /students/year.
- Master: CNY 30000 /students/year.
- PhD: CNY 38000 /students/year.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Tianjin Government Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Required Languages: English and Chinese
- Eligible Countries: All World Countries
- Applicant must be a non-Chinese citizen, under the age of 25
- Bachelor’s degree applicants must have a high school diploma
- Master’s degree applicants must have a bachelor’s degree
- Doctoral degree applicants must have a master’s degree
Application Process
Follow these important steps to apply for the Tianjin Government Scholarship:
- Prepare the following documents:
- Highest diploma with translations in Chinese or English
- Official transcripts with translations in Chinese or English
- Personal Statement (800 words for Master and Doctor Degree, 300 words for Bachelor’s degree)
- Two letters of recommendation
- Language proficiency test scores (HSK, TOEFL, or IELTS)
- Photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form
- Photocopy of Passport
- Copy of Application Fee Receipt
- Create a new account on the university website and fill out the online application.
- Finish the online application, submit it, and print it out.
- Participate in an interview (if informed by email).
Note:
- Scholarship eligibility is granted after acceptance to Nankai University.
- Scholarship results are announced by the end of June.
