Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering and Environmental Management

The Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering and Environmental Management (PEEM) provides specialist education tailored to integrated upstream petroleum, downstream, and environmental technology industry needs. The program focuses on petroleum engineering work that involves locating, recovering, and maintaining oil and gas supplies, alongside environmental management so students can safeguard the environment for future generations. It uses a blend of engineering, science, and environmental courses.

The curriculum is developed in conjunction with the oil and gas industry, environmental pillar institutions, and government agencies. The degree is full-time and lasts 4 years. It is designed to prepare students for professional careers within the oil and gas industry, using knowledge intended for a range of roles connected to upstream petroleum, downstream systems, and environmental technology.

Direct Entry

• Two principal passes in either Mathematics, Chemistry or Physics, and at least a subsidiary pass in any other A’ level Subject

Diploma Entry

• Diploma in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Engineering
• OR Other Diplomas approved by the University to be equivalent to any of those stated above
