Bachelor of Social Work Social Administration

The Bachelor of Social Work & Social Administration at Ndejje University equips students with knowledge and skills to support individuals, families, and communities in improving well-being. The program combines social work practice, social administration, and policy analysis, with learning outcomes that include applying social work principles, conducting assessments and evaluations for social programs, and demonstrating knowledge of social policies, governance, and human rights.

Students gain hands-on experience through fieldwork and internships in social service organizations. The course structure includes modules such as Communication Skills, Human Rights & Social Justice, Social Policy Analysis, and Project Planning and Management, plus administration-focused topics like Decentralization and Local Government Administration and Administrative Law.

Graduates are prepared for careers in social welfare, community development, and public service, with preparation for employment in government and non-governmental organizations.

Direct Entry

• Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with at least 2 principal passes, including a relevant subject

Diploma Entry

• Relevant diploma in social work, community development, or related field (Upper Second or Credit), recognized by NCHE

Mature Age Entry

• A minimum score of 50% in a recognized Mature Age Entry Examination

International Applicants

• Secondary school completion equivalent to Uganda’s A-Level
• Academic documents must be equated where necessary
• Proof of English proficiency if prior education was not in English
