Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Community Health

The Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Community Health at Ndejje University is designed to equip students with essential knowledge and practical clinical skills to diagnose, treat, and manage common diseases at primary healthcare level. Students study clinical diagnosis, pharmacology, pathology, maternal and child health, community health practices, and disease prevention strategies.

Learning combines classroom theory with hospital and field-based clinical practice. The program trains students for community-based healthcare, preventive medicine, and clinical practice. It includes practical, hands-on clinical training in real healthcare and community settings.

The diploma award is a Diploma. Graduates can diagnose and manage common medical conditions at primary healthcare level, provide clinical care including emergency and outpatient services, apply maternal, child, and community health principles, and work effectively within healthcare teams while maintaining proper medical documentation and ethical clinical practices.

Direct Entry
Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least 5 passes
Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with at least one principal pass in Biology and a subsidiary pass in Chemistry or related science subjects

Diploma Entry
Relevant Certificate in Health Sciences (e.g., Nursing Assistant, Medical Laboratory, or Clinical Medicine Certificate) with at least Credit or Upper Second, recognized by NCHE

Mature Age Entry
A minimum score of 50% in a recognized Mature Age Entry Examination

International Applicants
Secondary school completion equivalent to Uganda’s A-Level
Academic documents must be equated where necessary
Proof of English proficiency if prior education was not in English
