Diploma in Sustainable Agriculture and Extension

The Diploma in Sustainable Agriculture and Extension at Ndejje University equips students with practical and theoretical knowledge for modern, environmentally friendly farming and effective extension services. The program focuses on sustainable crop and livestock production, natural resource management, and community-based agricultural development.

Students study crop production and livestock training, including soil science and management, agricultural extension principles, agroecology and environmental management, irrigation and water management, climate-smart agriculture, rural development and community engagement, agricultural policy and planning, and research methods. The course includes an internship/field attachment, and it is delivered on a day/weekend study mode over two years, with campus Kampala/Main.

Direct Entry

• Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least 5 passes
• Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with at least 1 principal pass in a relevant subject

Diploma Entry (Upgrade / Credit Transfer)

• Relevant certificate in Agriculture or related field, recognized by NCHE

Mature Age Entry

• A minimum score of 50% in a recognized Mature Age Entry Examination

International Applicants

• Secondary school completion equivalent to Uganda’s A-Level
• Academic documents must be equated where necessary
• Proof of English proficiency if prior education was not in English
