Master of Medicine in Anaesthesiology Duration 3 Years

The Master of Medicine in Anaesthesiology is a postgraduate medical degree offered by the Faculty of Health Sciences at Mbarara University of Science and Technology (course code MMEd). It is designed to train physicians to become specialist consultants in anaesthesiology and critical care. The program focuses on anaesthesiology and related clinical specialist practice.

Students study on a full-time basis. Admission is based on an honours degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, plus an overall rating in physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology, and internal medicine as passed. Applicants submit 2 letters of reference, one from a current employer, and the Department may conduct an in-person, written, or teleconference interview to assess fitness for admission.
