About this program

The Master of Medicine in Internal Medicine at Mbarara University of Science and Technology trains qualified doctors to become Internal Medicine Specialists (Internists). Internists focus on the diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of complex illnesses in adults, working across various organ systems. The program also prepares doctors to coordinate care for patients with multiple chronic diseases.
