About this program

The Master of Public Health (MPH) in the Faculty of Health Sciences is a postgraduate degree designed to train practitioners, researchers, and leaders working on protecting and improving the health of populations and communities.

It is a full-time program with a duration of 2 Years. Entry is based on an honors degree in Health Sciences (including Human Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Dentistry, or Nursing; Environmental Sciences; Biology; Laboratory Sciences), or in Social Sciences (including Social Work, Sociology, Economics, Demography), or in Biological Sciences such as Statistics and Environmental Sciences—each with at least two years of relevant field experience.

Entry requirements

An honors degree in Health Sciences i.e. Human Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Dentistry or Nursing, Environmental Sciences, Biology, Laboratory Sciences, with at least two years of relevant field experience.
OR An honors degree in Social Sciences e.g. Social Work, Sociology, Economics, Demography, with at least two years of relevant field experience.
OR An honors degree in the Biological Sciences such as Statistics, Environmental Sciences, with at least two years of relevant field experience.
