Master of Public Health Research Ethics

The Master of Public Health (Research Ethics) is offered by Mbarara University of Science and Technology, Department of Community Health, Faculty of Medicine. The programme focuses on research ethics and requires applicants to submit a motivation letter and a concept paper proposing a research topic in the field of Research Ethics.

The programme duration is 2 YEARS. Applications require a 2-page concept paper structured with background, objectives, problem statement, proposed methods, significance, and references. Applicants also submit an up-to-date CV (maximum 2 pages) with two referees. Scholarship support is available for selected students for up to 2 years, with renewal for the second year based on successful completion of the previous year and written evidence of satisfactory progress from the student’s immediate supervisor.

• Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or its equivalent with at least 5 passes obtained at the same sitting.
• Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or its equivalent with at least 2 principal passes obtained at the same sitting.
• An Honors degree from an accredited degree awarding institution in a relevant field with a minimum CGPA of 2.8.
• Targeted applicants should have previous training in at least one of these areas: Health Sciences, Biological
