The Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at American University in Dubai helps students understand human behavior and mental processes. The program provides a broad understanding of psychology and related fields, with exposure to specialist areas such as social and personality psychology, clinical psychology, consumer and organizational psychology, and the psychology of advertising. It also includes foundations of psychology and more in-depth expertise in biological, industrial, and applied psychology.

The program focuses on psychology in areas such as family psychology, social and personality psychology, and the psychology of addictive behavior. Graduates are prepared to conduct ethical research appropriate to psychology; communicate about psychological issues and projects; analyze and evaluate discussions on psychological issues; define concepts positioning psychology as a field of scientific inquiry; and assess strengths of applying theoretical frameworks to contemporary psychological issues.
