Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Bsce

The Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (B.S.C.E.) at the American University in Dubai is a four-year, 137-credit-hour program. It includes core subjects split into Mathematics/Natural Sciences, Arts and Sciences, and Civil Engineering. Students also complete 15 credit hours of civil engineering electives across structural analysis and design, geotechnical engineering, water resources, environmental engineering, and transportation engineering.

The program culminates in a mandatory field experience and an interdisciplinary capstone design project. Learning includes practical work through laboratories: a Fluid Mechanics Laboratory, Materials/Structures Laboratory, and a Geotechnical Engineering Laboratory. The laboratories include multiple testing and measurement apparatus for experiments in fluid mechanics, materials and structural theory, and soil classification and testing.

• A high school/secondary school certificate or equivalent from an institution accredited by the Ministry of Education in the U.A.E. or by the relevant national or regional institutional accrediting body;
• International TOEFL® or Academic IELTSTM or the equivalent score on another internationally-recognized English exam. PBT is accepted from specific centers in the UAE.
• The University administers the ACCUPLACERTM Exam (Math) to place students at the appropriate mathematics level.
