Diploma in Leadership in Medical Education

The University of Sharjah delivered the Professional Diploma in Leadership in Medical Education through its Medical Education Center for Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services. The program is designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of Dubai Ambulance paramedics, with the goal of contributing to improved emergency medical services in the region.

The coordinator described the program as jointly developed through an analysis of training needs, with outcomes aligned to the emergency medical services work environment. Graduates demonstrated an ability to meet fieldwork demands and readiness for roles that require responsibility, including becoming trainers for peers. The collaboration is also described as a partnership between higher education and the healthcare services sector.
