Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering

The Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering (MSc AERO) at Khalifa University of Science, Technology and Research gives candidates the opportunity to deepen knowledge in Aerospace Engineering through original research. Students complete taught coursework and are supervised by faculty. After the taught component, candidates prepare, present, and defend a thesis in a chosen area connected to the program’s focus areas.

The program is equivalent to 30 credit hours: 12 credit hours of Program Core courses, 9 credit hours of Program Elective courses, and 9 credit hours of the Master’s Thesis. The core includes Seminar in Research Methods, Advanced Engineering Mathematics, Advanced Aerodynamics, Aerospace Materials and Structures, and Advanced Flight Dynamics and Control. Electives are selected from the listed aerospace courses, and the thesis is documented and defended in a viva voce examination.
