Hnc Wildlife and Conservation Management

HNC Wildlife and Conservation Management at Scotland's Rural College (SRUC) provides an introduction to the practical management of informal recreation and biodiversity in the countryside. The programme covers different land uses and their impacts on conservation and wildlife management, and introduces sustainable land management through awareness of the environment. It also introduces policies and issues influencing conservation and wildlife management in the future.

SRUC delivers the HNC through Distance Learning for 2 years or Full Time study for 1 year. The course includes practical experiences and examples through visits to reserves, country parks, and wildlife sites. Visits and residential trips are an integral part of the programme, and the distance learning option may require attendance at three study weekends at the Aberdeen campus.
