LLB Single Honours

The LLB Single Honours at SOAS, University of London is a law degree built around core modules and optional modules. Students study Criminal Law, Introduction to Law and Legal Processes, Contract Law, Property I, and Public Law in their first year, then move into Law of Tort and Property II as core modules.

Students take 120 credits per year made up of core and optional modules. The programme includes an optional year abroad that students can apply for during their second year. Students may also apply for entry to the second year of the LLB through UCAS, if they meet the transfer criteria set out by SOAS Law.

• For joint degrees with different entry requirements, the offer will be based on the subject with the higher entry requirements. For all combinations available with this programme, the entry requirements will be AAB.
• Applicants with standard qualifications such as A levels, IB or other high school qualifications considered equivalent to A levels, are not required to take the Law National Aptitude Test (LNAT).
• We also encourage applicants with non-standard qualifications (including Access to Higher Education Diploma and Foundation Courses) all of whom are required to take the LNAT.
• Students offering level 3 BTEC qualifications either on their own or in combination will be required to take the LNAT.
• Applicants taking the LNAT may be considered for lower offers (e.g., AAA, AAB, ABB or 37, 36, 35 in International Baccalaureate) if they perform promisingly in the test.
