The MSc Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Strategy at SOAS examines innovation, entrepreneurship, and strategy from a systems perspective. Students study how innovation strategies work and how complex processes create innovation and entrepreneurial activity. The programme looks at factors that shape invention, how inventions become commercial products and processes, and how innovations diffuse across firms, regions, nations, and the global economy.
Teaching uses a full-time or part-time attendance mode and a 1-year programme delivered on campus. The course structure includes core modules such as Innovation, Management and Entrepreneurship, Research Methods, International Business Strategy, Project Management (School of Finance and Management), and Innovation Systems, Complexity and Policy. It also includes a choice of Compulsory Dissertation or Projects, with options including a Practical Industry Project (with Practera Virtual Industry Experience) or a 30-credit Research Project plus a 60-credit Dissertation.
The programme is designed for those seeking a career in the management of creativity, knowledge, innovation, strategy and policy.
