Ailie Donald Scholarship for International Students at University of Edinburgh

The University of Edinburgh offers one Ailie Donald Scholarship to cover the UK tuition fee level for MSc study for postgraduate Masters study in English and/or Historical Linguistics within the School of Philosophy, Psychology & Language Sciences. Applicants who are due to pay international tuition fees will be liable for the difference between the UK rate of fee and the international tuition fee.

The scholarship is for students accepted for admission on MSc English Language, MSc by Research English Language, MSc Linguistics, or MSc by Research Linguistics within the School of Philosophy, Psychology & Language Sciences at the University of Edinburgh. Preference is given to applicants for the MSc by Research programmes and graduates of the University of Edinburgh. Part-time applicants to these programmes are also eligible to apply.

Ailie Donald Scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic merit.

The award is tenable for one academic year and is automatically deducted from tuition fee. Scholarship award holders are expected to be energetic members of the postgraduate community and to engage with opportunities to present their work to the wider student and staff body during the period covered by the award.

• Preference given to: applicants for the MSc by Research programmes

• Part-time applicants: eligible to apply
• Academic requirement: must have, or expect to obtain, a First Class Honours degree at undergraduate level or the international equivalent
• Study language/area: postgraduate Masters study in English and/or Historical Linguistics
• Selection criteria: academic merit
