Geoffrey Oldham Memorial Scholarships at University of Sussex

University of Sussex offers the Geoffrey Oldham Memorial Scholarships as a tuition fee reduction for Masters study in SPRU. Sussex says the award celebrates and continues the legacy of Geoffrey Oldham.

The scholarship is for applicants who have accepted an offer of a full-time place on one of five SPRU Masters courses: Energy Policy MSc, Project Management MSc, Science and Technology Policy MSc, Strategic Innovation Management MSc, or Sustainable Development MSc. Sussex also says applicants must be from one of the countries listed for the award and must not already hold another Sussex scholarship.

Selection is based on academic performance and a statement of academic interests. Sussex assesses the statement for clear and specific post-Masters goals, significant work experience or extra-curricular activities related to the chosen Masters, and research interests that contribute to Geoffrey Oldham’s work on Science and Technology and Gender. The scholarship is awarded as a one-off tuition fee reduction.

• Have accepted an offer of a full-time place on one of these Masters courses in SPRU: Energy Policy MSc; Project Management MSc; Science and Technology Policy MSc; Strategic Innovation Management MSc; Sustainable Development MSc.
• Have excellent academic scores to date.
• Provide a statement of academic interests when applying.
• Be from one of the countries listed by the University of Sussex for this award.
• Not already have another Sussex scholarship.

• £10,000 tuition fee reduction.

1. Accept an offer of a place on an eligible SPRU Masters course.
2. Apply for the scholarship after accepting the offer.
3. Complete the scholarship application form.
4. Submit a statement of academic interests with the application.
