Overview

Richard Davidson funds this scholarship through an endowment that enables the University of Edinburgh's School of Mathematics to offer one annual award. The university says the scholarship is awarded on merit to the most outstanding student from the UK or EU entering taught postgraduate study in Operational Research.

The award applies to applicants entering the MSc programmes in Operational Research, Operational Research with Computational Optimization, Operational Research with Data Science, or Operational Research with Risk.

Selection is competitive and based on academic merit. Applicants must complete the scholarship application form and send it to Dr Akshay Gupte. The university says students are notified of the outcome by the end of June.

Eligibility

Applicant must be from the UK or the EU.
Applicant must be entering one of the following programmes: Operational Research; Operational Research with Computational Optimization; Operational Research with Data Science; Operational Research with Risk.
Selection is based on academic merit.

Benefits

£4,000 scholarship award.
Payment is made directly to the student in instalments.
The award contributes to living costs.
