Sheffield Hallam University Vice-Chancellor’s Award Scholarship

Sheffield Hallam University offers an automatic tuition bursary for students from selected regions on courses starting in September and January. Depending on where you live and what you are studying, the bursary could be up to £4,000 for your first year of study.

The award is for international students who are domiciled in Nigeria, Ghana, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Nepal, or Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, Singapore, the Philippines or Vietnam. It applies to full-time taught postgraduate courses and full-time taught undergraduate courses, and you must be studying at Sheffield Hallam for the first time.

Vice-Chancellor’s Awards are applied automatically and confirmed in your offer letter. If you receive an award, you still need to meet any academic conditions in your offer, pay your deposit, and pay the remaining prepayment (£8,000 in total, including your deposit). Eligibility decisions are at the University’s discretion and are final. You can only receive one award or scholarship, and your fee cannot also be discounted by another arrangement such as a corporate contract or partnership discount.

• You must be studying at Sheffield Hallam for the first time.
• You do not qualify if you have studied with Sheffield Hallam before (you may qualify for Alumni Scholarships instead).
• You can only receive one award or scholarship; if offered more than one, you must choose which award to accept.
• Your fee cannot also be discounted by another arrangement such as a corporate contract or partnership discount.
• All decisions on eligibility for these awards are at the University's discretion and are final.

• Nigeria: up to £4,000 for your first year of study (September: £3,000; January: £3,000).
• South East Asia: up to £4,000 for your first year of study (September: £4,000; January: £4,000).
• Ghana: up to £4,000 for your first year of study (September: £3,000; January: £3,000).
• Discount is applied pro-rata for students who enrol on a postgraduate course where they are required to complete less than 180 credits.

2. If you are offered a place and receive an award, it will be confirmed in your offer letter.
3. If you receive an award, also meet any academic conditions in your offer.
4. Pay your deposit.
5. Pay the remaining prepayment (£8,000 in total, which includes your deposit).
