Strathclyde Business School in Glasgow UK International Undergraduate Performance Sport Scholarships

The SBS International Undergraduate Performance Sport Scholarship aims to enable talented student-athletes who are regularly competing at international level to follow a dual career. The programme offers academic flexibility (where feasible), sports science and medical support, and financial assistance towards training and competition costs. The Performance Sport Scholarship Programme is offered on a renewable basis, subject to review by the Performance Sport Panel.

It is aimed at international undergraduate applicants studying full time, who are competing in a Sport Scotland-recognised sport. Priority is given to students competing in a BUCS-sport who can demonstrate potential to contribute toward the University’s objective of being ranked in the top 20 in the UK. Applicants should be competing at least at junior, if not senior, international level.

Performance Sport Scholars receive a comprehensive support package equivalent to up to £5,750 cash per year. The package includes Strathclyde Sport Membership, Sports Union Membership, individualised year-round strength and conditioning services (up to three sessions per week), physiotherapy support (on referral), athlete lifestyle support workshops, academic flexibility (where feasible), and a scholar-branded Canterbury training kit. The scholarship is renewable based on the panel’s review of applications.
