The UON International Scholarship

The University of Northampton describes this as a merit-based scholarship for international students and EU-domiciled students. It is intended to provide financial support through a reduction in tuition fees.

The scheme applies to all full-time undergraduate and postgraduate taught courses delivered on campus. Students are considered for the award on the basis of academic achievement, and the scholarship is linked to the application to study at the University.

University of Northampton awards are made in parallel with admission and do not require a separate scholarship application. The scholarship is awarded on merit and academic eligibility, and students are informed in their offer letter.

The award is paid as an annual tuition fee reduction and continues only if the student progresses to the next year of study. For changes of course within the University, the scholarship can continue if the new course is still qualifying, but it will only cover the length of the first programme. The University can withdraw the award if the student provides false information or has outstanding debt.

• Hold an offer to study a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate taught programme at the University of Northampton.
• Study one of these programme types: BA, BSc, BEng, MEng, LLB, MA, MSc, LLM or MBA.
• Be assessed as an overseas fee payer.
• UK and EU nationals who are eligible for a maintenance loan from Student Finance England are not eligible.
• Students on a course validated by the University at a partner institution are not eligible.

• Annual reduction in tuition fees of £2,000, £3,000, or up to £4,000 per academic year.
• The reduction is payable in each year of the programme, subject to successful progression to the next year.
• For Nursing programmes, the maximum scholarship is £2,000 per academic year.

3. The scholarship is considered as part of the admission application.
4. The outcome is issued in the offer letter.
