UK University of Exeter Excellence Scholarships for International Students

Exeter Excellence Scholarships recognise outstanding academic achievement and offer funding to help cover the costs of studying at the University of Exeter. The award is described as a reduction in International tuition fees for each eligible year of study.

Applications cover all campus-based undergraduate degrees in the listed subject areas, with exclusions including BMBS Medicine and specified law and partnership/degree apprenticeship programmes. The scholarship is intended for self-funded students with International fee status, and applicants must already hold an offer to study an eligible undergraduate degree at the University of Exeter entering year one directly.

Scholarship recipients are selected on academic merit using information supplied in the UCAS application. Applicants are typically expected to demonstrate the equivalent of GCE A level grades AAB. The selection also considers the ability to demonstrate academic and career ambition, a clear plan for making the most of the study opportunity, and a sense of social responsibility and willingness to engage with the Exeter community.

The value is given as £3,000 or £5,000 (recurring) tuition-fee discount, with duration described as variable. The scholarship is awarded as a reduction in International tuition fees for each eligible year of study, and recipients must apply through the webform after they have a programme offer.

• Applicants must have International fee status (including any EU students required to pay International fees for the relevant intake).
• Applicants must already hold an offer (conditional or unconditional) to study an eligible Undergraduate degree at the University of Exeter.
• The offer must be for entering year one of that programme directly.
• Applicants must apply for the scholarship to study at the University of Exeter in an eligible undergraduate degree subject area.
• Students progressing from University of Exeter International Study Centre (ISC) International Foundation are not eligible.
• The scholarships are intended for self-funded students.

• Ineligible programmes include Degree Apprenticeships.
