• Funding method: self-funded or applying for a postgraduate government loan to pay fees and living expenses.
• Current enrolment: applicants must not already be registered on a postgraduate degree course.
• Programme credits: applicants must commence an 180-credits Masters course in an eligible subject.
• Eligible degree types: LLM; MA (Taught); MSc (Pre-reg); MSc (Taught); MPH; MEd; MBA; MPA.
• Ineligible degree types include: MA/MSc by Research; MRes (combined taught and research); Integrated Masters degrees (examples given: MSci, MEng and MBChB, MBChB); Intercalated Masters degrees; Postgraduate Diplomas (PGDip); Postgraduate Certificates (PGCert); Postgraduate Research programmes (examples given: PhDs, PhDs with integrated study, EngD); postgraduate taught degrees that receive governmental funding (examples given: a NHS bursary or undergraduate tuition fee loans); Schools Direct programmes; Subject Knowledge Enhancement (SKE) courses; LLB for Graduates; programmes delivered at the Dubai Campus; all top-up programmes.
• International students: funding aims to support Home fee-paying students and therefore international students are not eligible for this scholarship funding.
• Contingency: scholarship offers are contingent upon having an offer to study one of the eligible courses.

• £3,000 tuition fee discount (fee waiver applied directly to tuition fees).
• Not payable directly to the student; cannot be exchanged for monetary value.

1. Submit an application to the intended Masters programme through the University of Birmingham Course finder programme page, including the relevant supporting documentation: references; transcripts if available; and English language certification if applicable.
2. Complete the Birmingham Masters Scholarship application form.
3. Enter the application ID number given during the Masters programme application into the scholarship application form; if the correct ID number is not input, the scholarship application may be void or may experience a delay in being processed.
4. If made a reserve in a round, do not re-apply; the application is automatically carried over into following rounds.
5. If successfully offered the scholarship, complete the acceptance form in the awarding email. Only after accepting will the award be provided.
6. After accepting the scholarship, accept the study offer and complete online registration to receive the £3,000 tuition fee waiver; delays in completing online registration delay the scholarship payment.
