University of Birmingham, UK Offers KAPLAN High Fliers Undergraduate Scholarship

The University of Birmingham provides the KAPLAN High Fliers Undergraduate Scholarship in partnership with Kaplan International College London (KICL). The stated purpose is to support academic high achievers and the Kaplan and Kaplan-University pathway through activities while studying at the University.

The scholarship is aimed at candidates applying for entry to a full-time undergraduate programme at the University of Birmingham UK campus and entering the first year. Applicants must have an offer, select the University as their firm choice, meet the academic conditions of their offer, and be enrolled on a foundation course at KICL.

Selection is based on academic excellence and a willingness to support the University in promoting Kaplan and the Kaplan-University pathway through volunteering. KICL and the University of Birmingham jointly identify the three highest achieving students who meet the eligibility requirements, and nominated students complete a form to accept the award and agree to participate in promotional activities.

The full scholarship is awarded upon enrolment and is deducted from first-year tuition fees only. The scholar must agree to support the partnership through activities such as helping with future student visits, participating in testimonials/photos/videos for marketing purposes, and engaging in activities such as blogging if required.

• Have received an offer and selected the University of Birmingham as their firm choice for a full-time undergraduate programme starting September 2026.
• Be entering the first year of an undergraduate programme based at Birmingham’s UK campus.
• Meet the academic conditions of their offer to the programme.
• Be enrolled on a foundation course at KICL in the 2025/26 academic year.
• Be classed by the University as an overseas fee payer for tuition fee purposes.
• Be able to pay the outstanding tuition fees not covered by the scholarship.
• Have sufficient funds to cover the full cost of living at the University of Birmingham, plus any visa/travel expenses associated with studying in the UK.
• Start their studies at the University in September 2026.
• Upon enrolment in September 2026, pay their net tuition fees for the first year by 1 November, immediately following enrolment.
• Be open to all nationalities, but must be enrolled on a foundation course at KICL.
• Not be already registered and studying on a programme at the University of Birmingham in the UK.
• Not apply for MBChB Medicine and Surgery.
• Not apply for BDS Dental Surgery.
• Not apply for any Engineering and Physical Sciences programmes.
• Not be International Year One Engineering, and not be a Pre-masters student.

• Award value of £5,000 towards tuition fees for the first year only of a full-time Undergraduate degree programme at the University of Birmingham UK campus.
• The scholarship is deducted from the first-year tuition fees only upon enrolment.

1. No application is necessary.
2. KICL and the University of Birmingham jointly identify the three highest achieving students who meet the eligibility requirements.
3. Nominated students are asked to complete a form to accept the award and agree to participate in activities that jointly promote the University of Birmingham and Kaplan pathway.
4. If the nominated student declines the terms, the next highest achieving student is offered the award.
5. The full scholarship is awarded upon enrolment of the student on their programme in September 2026, and is deducted from the first-year tuition fees only.
6. Only the successful scholarship awardee will be notified of the outcome.
