University of Bradford UK Bestway Scholarship

The University of Bradford is pleased to announce that the Bestway Foundation is supporting five scholarships. The scholarships are for students domiciled in Pakistan who are starting a full-time Master’s course at the University of Bradford in September. The stated purpose is to support students in financial hardship.

The scholarship is aimed at students from Pakistan on full-time Master’s programmes (not MBA) based at the University of Bradford. Eligible programmes are in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, limited to the Faculty of Life Sciences and the Faculty of Engineering and Informatics (excluding courses in the school of Media, Design and Technology). Applicants must be self-funded and must already have completed an undergraduate degree and know their results.

Selection is made by the Scholarship panel, which considers applications. If successful, applicants are asked to submit a programme application to the University and provide proof of qualifications and level of English Language, plus an academic reference. The University reserves the right to remove a scholarship offer if pertinent information was withheld.

The award provides full tuition fees and accommodation in The Green, plus £6,665 per annum living costs paid in three instalments (October, January, and April). Each scholarship is worth approximately £35,000. The applicant must secure a Visa to study at Bradford, and successful students are the only ones notified; outcomes are given no later than mid-June.

• Eligible for students from Pakistan who are domiciled in Pakistan.Must be starting a full-time Master’s course at the University of Bradford (September 2025).Must be enrolled on a full-time Master’s programme (not MBA).Programme must be in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, and only from the Faculty of Life Sciences or the Faculty of Engineering and Informatics (excluding courses in the school of Media, Design and Technology).Must be self-funded.Must be in financial hardship due to being from a country that is in crisis as a result of the political situation, war, natural disaster etc.Applicants do not need to have secured an offer to study at Bradford before applying for the scholarship.Must have already completed an undergraduate degree and must know results to be able to apply.Must send proof of results with the application form; evidence sent after the application will not be accepted.If relying on the scholarship to cover fees and living expenses, must apply for the scholarship before applying for a place on a course.Must meet the minimum academic and English Language entry requirements for the chosen course.Academic requirement: a 4-year Bachelor degree with an overall average of 60% or a GPA of 2.5/4.0 or First Division; or a Master’s degree with an overall average of 60% or a GPA of 2.5/4.0 or First Division.Eligible country: Pakistan.

Complete the scholarship application form.Submit a personal statement as part of the application outlining: how the situation in your country has affected you and/or your family; why you want to come to Bradford and study your chosen programme; and how you will use this qualification when you return to your country.Include proof of your results with your application form.Submit the scholarship application within the application window (open 1 April 2025; close 1 May 2025).If successful, submit a programme application to the University and provide proof of qualifications and level of English Language, plus an academic reference.If successful, secure a Visa to study at Bradford (the University states it will be able to guide you through this process).
