University of Glasgow Glasgow Excellence Award Scholarships

The University of Glasgow offers the Glasgow Excellence Award (UK). The University of Glasgow states that it has a total of 40 Glasgow Excellence Scholarships available to UK students entering any of the University’s Colleges. The award provides a £5,000 tuition fee discount.

The award is for applicants who demonstrate academic excellence and have achieved grades equivalent to UK 1st Class Honours. Applicants must hold an offer of a place for a full-time postgraduate taught Masters programme for the to 28 academic session. For MPhil Book & Paper Conservation and Textile Conservation, the scholarship will cover 1st year of study only.

Selection is based on meeting the eligibility requirements stated by the University of Glasgow, including academic excellence and the grades requirement, plus holding the relevant full-time postgraduate taught Masters offer for the stated academic session and being classed as Home or RUK for fee purposes. The University of Glasgow also states that UofG discounts and scholarships cannot be combined with one another or any external sponsorship discounts, with the exception of Alumni Discount.

The University of Glasgow states that if a student is offered more than 1 scholarship, the lower value award will be deleted from the account. It also states that if a student is offered the Postgraduate Access Scholarship alongside this award, the Scholarship Team will contact them to see which scholarship they would like to accept.

• UofG discounts and scholarships cannot be combined with one another or any external sponsorship discounts (with the exception of Alumni Discount).
• If offered more than 1 scholarship, the lower value award will be deleted from the account.
