OCIS – Oxford Scholarships, launched in, support British Muslim students as well as students from developing countries in Asia and Africa to read for degrees at the University of Oxford. The programme provides up to five scholarships each year for undergraduate students from Muslim communities in Britain, and up to five scholarships each year for postgraduate students for UK students from Muslim communities and students from specified countries in Asia or Africa. The scholarships are available for study in a range of fields relevant to the needs of Muslim societies.

Under the programme, undergraduate scholarships are for undergraduate students from Muslim communities in Britain. Postgraduate scholarships cover UK students from Muslim communities and students from specified countries in Asia or Africa, for degree study at the University of Oxford in fields relevant to the needs of Muslim societies.

For postgraduate scholarships, OCIS – Oxford Postgraduate Scholarships cover University fees and a grant for living costs. The page states that an application for a scholarship is made at the time of completion of the Graduate Application Form.

Eligibility

Applicant must be a British Muslim student for undergraduate scholarships.
Applicant must be from Muslim communities in Britain for undergraduate scholarships.
Applicant must be a UK student from Muslim communities for postgraduate scholarships.
Applicant must be a student from specified countries in Asia or Africa for postgraduate scholarships.
Applicant must undertake study in a range of fields relevant to the needs of Muslim societies.
