University of Warwick WMG Bursaries for Latin American Students

WMG Scholarships for Latin American Students include an automatic tuition fee discount of £3,500 for students from Latin America, and WMG Latin America Excellence Scholarships that are awarded on a competitive basis with awards of £5,000, £10,000, and £15,000. WMG Excellence Scholarships are for self-funded students only, and WMG scholarships and awards are paid towards tuition fees only.

Eligibility for the £3,500 automatic tuition fee award requires an offer to study on one of the WMG full-time MSc courses starting September, classification as overseas fee payers, and nationality of a Latin American country. The Excellence Scholarship application requires an offer for a WMG full-time MSc course starting September, and consideration is based on an excellent academic track-record and/or a strong professional profile. Both routes are for WMG UK full-time MSc programmes.

For the Excellence Scholarship, applicants apply within 4 weeks of receiving their offer, and applications are reviewed by the WMG Scholarship committee in four rounds. Successful awardees from Latin America benefit from both the automatic tuition fee discount and the WMG Excellence Scholarship. WMG scholarships and awards are reflected in the CAS for visa application purposes, and partnership awards can replace the WMG tuition fee bursary with the relevant partnership discount.

• Eligibility for £3,500 automatic tuition fee award: must have an offer to study on one of the WMG full-time MSc courses starting September; must be classified as overseas fee payers; must be a national of a Latin American country; must be self-funded; where a student is funded through a partnership agreement (e.g. Colfuturo, FUNED etc.), this fee discount will be replaced by the partnership agreement discount.
• Eligibility for WMG Latin America Excellence Scholarship (application required): must have an offer to study on one of the WMG full-time MSc courses starting September; must have an excellent academic track-record and/or strong professional profile for consideration; Excellence Scholarships are for self-funded students only, but students on scholarship-loan schemes or partially funded by an external organisation may also be considered; awardees should inform the scholarship committee if they are in receipt of another scholarship or are later awarded other funding.

• Successful Excellence Scholarship awardees from Latin America benefit from both the automatic tuition fee discount and the WMG Excellence Scholarship.

1. Secure an offer to study on one of the WMG full-time MSc courses (starting September).
2. For the £3,500 automatic tuition fee award, no application process is described; the discount is automatic for eligible students.
3. For the WMG Latin America Excellence Scholarship, apply using the Excellence Scholarship application link.
4. Submit the Excellence Scholarship application within 4 weeks of receiving your offer.
5. Wait for review by the WMG Scholarship committee in four rounds.
