Acting MA

The Acting MA at Academy of Art University provides a specialized focus in acting for the camera. Students develop professional skills in voice, speech, movement, and audition techniques through major classes including Alexander Technique for Camera, Voice and Speech, Acting Techniques: Meisner, Scene Study, Script Analysis, and Acting for Camera.

Delivery is organized through major coursework across required classes. Students work on filmed scene work, build warm-ups and articulation skills for speech, practice partner exercises for listening and truthful responses, and complete screen performance training through Acting for Camera 1 and Acting for Camera 2, including weekly scene and audition work with mentored coaching and soundstage or green screen production support. The program culminates in an industry-ready demo reel presented after the Final Portfolio Review.
