Associate in Science

The Associate in Science is an AS degree that lets students complete the first two years of a baccalaureate degree. Students can earn an AS degree by choosing either general pre-baccalaureate studies or an AS focus area within a field of study. Focus areas are concentrations of related courses that support transfer to continued study such as Biology, Engineering, Pre-Physical Therapy, Pre-Med, and Pre-Vet.

Degree structure includes a focus on related courses within a discipline, using the listed focus-area course requirements and electives shown for each option. Focus areas shown include Chemistry, Computer Science, Informatics, Natural Science, Pre-Engineering, and Video Game Design. Transfer services support students planning to move from BCTC to a four-year university.
