Bachelor in General Studies

The Bachelor of Arts in General Studies at Spartanburg Methodist College is an online liberal arts degree focused on writing, reading, critical thinking, and broad knowledge of physical, social, and cultural worlds. It also develops interdisciplinary skills to apply knowledge to complex challenges. The program is aimed at adult learners who have some college credit but have not finished their degree.

Students take classes online with the same coursework, professional development program, and internship opportunities as traditional, on-campus programs. Students learn from many of the same faculty who teach in classrooms, and advising and support are provided online by staff experienced in serving remote students. Classes run for 8 weeks each, with enrollment options for full-time or part-time study.
