The Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Business at Saint Leo University provides training in sport industry analysis of management issues, plus concepts and strategies applied to sport organizations. Students build skills in facility and event management, organizational analysis, social relations, sport marketing, and sport finance.
The program is offered on campus. Students can gain experience through conferences, internships, co-curricular activities, and study abroad. Internship examples include the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, Madison Square Garden, International Softball Federation, minor league baseball clubs, and FC Bayern Munich.
Students also attend an annual International Business Conference and participate in a national case study competition at the Sport Marketing Association Conference. Co-curricular options include membership in the Sport Business Association. Study abroad includes a three-week tour of Australia to learn about international sports and tourism and meet industry professionals.
