This Biology Transfer program, Biology BS - Associate in Arts (RIC), provides foundational coursework in biology, chemistry, and physics. It includes Introductory Biology (Organismal) and Introductory Biology (Cellular), along with General Chemistry I and II and Organic Chemistry I and II, plus General Physics I and II. Students also complete general education work in communication, composition, statistics, and elective areas.
The program totals 62 credit hours and is organized as a recommended two-year sequence across four semesters. It includes communication fundamentals as a work-based learning course, and multiple elective choices across art, film, music, theatre, history, philosophy, literature, world languages, and a social science elective. Completion earns an Associate’s degree and positions students to transfer to a receiving institution with 60 credits and Junior status under the Joint Admissions Agreement.
