The Biotechnology BS - Associate in Arts (RIC) is a biology transfer program within the biology transfer area, built around major courses such as Orientation to Biotechnology, Introduction to Biotechnology Laboratory Skills, General Microbiology, and Chemistry for Biotechnology. Students also study Programming Concepts and Introduction to Instrumentation Technology alongside general education coursework including Cell Biology for Technology, Introductory Biology: Organismal, and general chemistry.
The program is completed at the Knight (Warwick) Campus. It is a Joint Admissions Agreement transfer program. Students complete course requirements to receive an Associate degree and enter a receiving institution with 60 credits and Junior status. The program includes a laboratory skills course and work-based learning through Communication Fundamentals.
Students must complete all requirements as given.
For the Joint Admissions Agreement program, students have earned less than 30 college credits at the time of joining and have not attended any other college or university.
