The Business Administration, Financial Services Certificate prepares students for entry-level positions in the financial services industry, including banking, insurance, and investments. It also supports people already working in the industry who want promotion to a higher position. The curriculum includes courses in Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Personal Income Taxes, Personal Finance, Money and Banking, and Investments, plus a sales course to learn tools for selling industry products.
Students complete required certificate courses and choose one option from Sales or the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) Preparatory Course. Business and Professional Studies certificate programs and related programs are accredited or approved through curriculum review processes. Many courses require prerequisites, corequisites, and/or testing. The program can be completed at any campus, or fully online, with some campuses requiring one or more courses online.
