The Business - Office Technology Certificate is a four-course certificate for students who want to use technology in an office setting. Students study Office Technology, Office Procedures, and Introduction to Computers. The program covers skills such as technology use and troubleshooting, social media strategies, records management, and document processing and design.
Students learn through hands-on training using simulated projects in the classroom or online. The curriculum sequence includes Office Technology (ADM-103), Office Procedures (ADM-162), and Introduction to Computers (CSC-110). ADM-103 includes lecture and lab, while CSC-110 includes lab time outside of class to complete projects.
This certificate can transfer toward the Business Office Management or Legal Office Management degree programs. It prepares students for roles such as Administrative Assistant, Office Manager, Data Entry Clerk, Customer Service Representative, and Virtual Assistant.
