The Certificate Program in Aquaculture and Aquatic Science at Kentucky State University is a certificate degree that requires a minimum of 12 credit hours of Aquaculture courses with the AQU prefix. Students choose courses from the Division of Aquaculture offerings and must earn a grade of “C” or better for classes to count toward the certificate.
Course delivery can be virtual, in the classroom, hybrid, or any combination. To earn the Aquaculture and Aquatic Science certificate entirely virtual or hybrid, students complete only 4 of the listed AQU courses. Work completed for the certificate may later be applied toward the Bachelor of Agriculture, Health, and Natural Resources degree.
To enroll, students must first be admitted to the University on either a degree-seeking or non-degree-seeking basis. Only classes with a grade of “C” or better count toward the Certificate Degree.
