Chemistry BA Ric

This Chemistry Transfer program leads to a Chemistry BA Associate in Arts (RIC). Students study general chemistry, organic chemistry, and general physics through major courses including CHEM 1030, CHEM 1100, CHEM 2270, CHEM 2280, PHYS 1030, and PHYS 1040, plus free elective courses.

The program is delivered through a planned course sequence that totals 62–64 hours. It includes general education requirements such as ENGL 1010 Composition I, COMM 1010 Communication Fundamentals (a work-based learning course), and electives in social science, history or philosophy, literature or world languages, and fine arts options. Students also complete laboratory experience within the chemistry coursework.

It is a Joint Admissions Agreement (JAA) transfer program. Students who complete the JAA plan receive an Associate’s degree and enter the receiving institution with 60 credits and Junior status, with guaranteed admissions to Rhode Island College or the University of Rhode Island, plus personalized advising.

For the JAA program, students must be eligible, have earned less than 30 college credits at the time of joining, and have not attended any other college or university.
