Chemistry Transfer, Chemistry BS - Associate in Arts (URI) is a chemistry transfer program focused on general chemistry and organic chemistry. Students complete CHEM 1030, CHEM 1100, CHEM 2270, and CHEM 2280, supported by quantitative and science coursework such as calculus, university physics, and university physics laboratory. The program emphasizes hands-on laboratory experiences to build fundamental techniques, use modern instrumentation, and follow safe laboratory practices.
The program includes general education and major requirements, with a total of 62 credit hours. Students also take ENGL 1010 (or ENGL 1010A) and COMM 1010 (a work-based learning course), along with electives in history, humanities, literature, and social science. Completion is connected to a Joint Admissions Agreement transfer to URI, with students entering with 60 credits and Junior status after earning an associate’s degree.
