The Doctorate in Leadership Studies at Louisiana State University Shreveport (Doctor of Education, EdD) is an online program for leaders with graduate degrees in all disciplines. It focuses on leadership theory and practice, with an emphasis on practitioner-scholars. Students study leadership, organizational leadership, and research methods, then choose concentrations in Leadership Studies, Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management, or Health Communication and Leadership.
Courses are delivered in a 100% online format. Each class meets weekly via Zoom, and courses run in a 7-week format. Students can opt to take one or two courses per session. Comprehensive exams are offered each semester and are coordinated by program faculty.
