Doctor of Criminal Justice in Fall 2018

Saint Leo University offers a Doctor of Criminal Justice (DCJ) that prepares students through core criminal justice coursework and education-focused courses. The program is organised into two curriculum tracks: a homeland security track for criminal justice practitioners and an education track for those who want to teach in the field. Core topics include corrections, policing, legal issues, human resources, finance, and data analytics.

The DCJ is an online program that can be completed anywhere, with three short residencies included to connect students with Saint Leo and support research. It uses a cohort model, with all students going through the program together and aiming for 18–22 students per class. The program includes traditional doctoral dissertation work, converted into four classes to create benchmarks.

To be considered for admission, you should have:

• A master's degree in any discipline from a regionally accredited academic institution
• At least a 3.25 GPA in a master's program you've completed
• Letters of recommendation
• Anyone with a GPA under 3.25 can still apply for conditional admission .
