Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

The Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) at Western University of Health Sciences is a graduate-entry veterinary medicine program. Admissions are handled through the VMCAS system. Applicants submit a primary application through VMCAS, and all areas of the VMCAS application must be completed for the application to be considered complete.

After verification that admissions and application requirements have been met, applications are reviewed by admissions professionals and college faculty. Applicants considered acceptable are invited to interview. Interview days generally take place October–February, and each candidate interview is conducted by a college faculty member paired with another member of the veterinary profession. Final class selection is made by the Dean, the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, and the Chair of the Admissions Committee.
