The University of Louisiana at Lafayette will award an honorary doctorate to Winfred Sibille during Fall commencement ceremonies. Dr. Joseph Savoie, the university president, will present the honorary degree to Sibille during the General Assembly.
The General Assembly is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 14, at the Cajundome.
