Economics BA Ric

The Social Science Transfer, Economics BA Associate in Arts (RIC) program provides foundational knowledge of economic principles and prepares you to transfer to Rhode Island College (RIC) for a BA in Economics. It builds quantitative literacy and critical thinking, and it uses an economics framework for addressing social issues and problems.

The program can be completed at any campus. Completing it at the Flanagan (Lincoln) Campus, Liston (Providence) Campus, or Newport County Campus requires taking one or more courses online. The degree combines general education and major requirements and totals 60–62 credit hours, with a recommended sequence across two years and two semesters per year. Students complete required course lists including microeconomics, macroeconomics, accounting, business writing, and quantitative business analysis.

Students who are eligible for the JAA program have earned less than 30 college credits at the time of joining and have not attended any other college or university.

Students must complete all requirements as given.
