Entrepreneurship Upper Division Certificate

The Entrepreneurship Upper Division Certificate at Towson University is for learners interested in new venture creation, innovation, creativity, and problem-solving. Students focus on entrepreneurship basics, working for a start-up, and applying entrepreneurship principles to analyze business opportunities, identify market needs, and address organizational problems.

The certificate builds skills to identify market opportunities, develop ideas, evaluate viability, and start and manage a business. It uses courses such as ENTR 305 Design Thinking for Innovative Problem Solving, ENTR 310 Will Your Business Work?, and ENTR 355 Entrepreneurship Foundations and Pathways, covering opportunity identification, business concept and business models, and the entrepreneurial process.

The certificate in entrepreneurship is open to all degree-holding students and to all Towson University undergraduate degree-seeking students except those who are pursuing a major in business administration with a concentration in entrepreneurship.

All courses within the entrepreneurship certificate must be completed with a grade equivalent of 2.00 or higher, and all must be completed at Towson University.
