Film Media BA Uri

The Communication and Media Transfer, Film Media BA transfer degree provides a practical and theoretical education in skills for making media. Students learn production skills supported by a background in the history and theory of film and media, while completing both general education and major requirements that include writing, oral presentations, group work, and visual presentations.

Experiential learning is embedded through work-based learning courses and production-focused classes. The curriculum includes Communication and Media courses, film production and editing, Television Production (work-based learning course), and Careers and Academic Success for Communication and Media, plus electives and lab science, math, and social science requirements. This transfer program is designed to prepare students to enter the University of Rhode Island as Film Media majors as juniors.
