Finance, BBA at Stephen F. Austin State University is designed to help business managers and private individuals make financial decisions. The program focuses on how price movements in capital and commodity markets affect business profitability and client outcomes. Students also learn to support how the American and global economies work through a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance.
Students take part in the Mast Student Investment Roundtable class, where they manage a $2M+ equity portfolio by analyzing and selecting stocks and making investment decisions. The Rusche boardroom is used by instructors for presentations, especially in upper-level business courses. The program includes recommendations for elective courses based on a specialization direction.
Career directions described for graduates include work in brokerages, banks, hospitals, oil companies, insurance firms, and real estate development. Other alumni work as financial advisors to wealthy individuals or work on the buy side as portfolio analysts. The program also offers concentrations in Financial Planning and Investment Management.
