The Finance BBA is a Business Administration, BBA with a Finance concentration. Students study how to apply finance skills across business disciplines, with attention to profitability and the link between numbers and business decisions.
Learning includes work with faculty-mentors, competitive internships, consulting projects, and service-learning. Students gain real-world investing experience through the Whitworth Student Investment Group. Computer models such as FORAD are used, and students develop communication and leadership by presenting to Whitworth trustees and the business advisory board.
The program also includes participation in the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute Research Challenge team, mock interviews with members of the local business community, and activities connected to ethical issues in finance. It prepares graduates for positions in for-profit companies, nonprofits, and hedge funds.
