Finance Certificate

The Finance Undergraduate Certificate at the University of West Florida provides foundational concepts in finance, with a required course and three electives you can choose to fit your career goals. Students study how to manage financial theories in real life and topics that include investments, statement analysis, and financial markets.

This program is delivered online. Students complete experiential assignments and manage a real portfolio of money for the University. The certificate includes 12 credit hours. Students start with FIN 3403 - Managerial Finance, then select three additional finance courses.

On completion, you can apply finance concepts and theories to lead to a career in finance, and use appropriate techniques to identify and solve finance problems, including tools such as Microsoft Excel. It prepares students to step into roles such as financial analyst, financial manager, personal finance advisor, and securities, commodities and financial services sales agent.
